What is my role?

             

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) has an opportunity for a Presales Engineer Network Infrastructure based in Vimercate (MB), , responsible for expanding network business in Italy. The primary focus will be to work with the local ALE sales representatives, ALE business partners / distributors and end-customers on networking business within the mentioned geographic perimeter.

 

What am I responsible for?

  • Working to achieve sales and revenue targets as set by the organization.
  • Supporting existing ALE business partners, distributors, and end-customers with regular updates on the development of the ALE network portfolio.
  • Technical Enablement of the newly onboarded partners.
  • Support ALE business partners during all stages of a sales cycle (RFI/RFP etc.).
  • Work on customer network designs in close collaboration with the business partner / end-customer.
  • Support the Proof-of-Concept (POC) phase of customer/partner network designs.
  • To be able to identify new business opportunities based on customer Business needs and to translate them into the right ALE networking solution
  • To support and participate in all the sales actions aiming at promoting new business of products and solutions, for instance Cloud Services Business models in Operators and Business Partners
  • To support the sales team in all the tasks in the sales cycle: product presentation & demonstration, business case definition, sales offer preparation
  • To teach the BP community on all the ALE Networking products through the training tracks
  • Share knowledge and have fun in an international Presales team.

Am I the right person for this?

  • Recent bachelor degree in IT/Computer science or related field.
  • Italian mother tongue, fluent in written and spoken in English (mandatory), any other languages is a plus.
  • Network industry relevant certifications like CCNA Routing & Switching, ALE ACSE or ACFE on OmniSwitch AOS R8 and ALE Stellar Wireless, HPE-Aruba Wireless, Nokia IP/MPLS Service Routers
  • Networking Trends and Technologies Aware with Other Vendors Expertise
  • Sales relevant trainings/certifications like project management, effective presentation skills, conflict & negotiation management.
  • Knowledge in Networks (Routing / Switching / Wireless / Proxy / DDI) and Security (Firewalling, NAC 802.1x, VPN).
  • Knowledge in IP protocols
  • Highly desirable if the candidate demonstrates knowledge in ALE Networking technologies both LAN and WLAN 
  • It would to be a plus if the candidate owns either Networking Professional or Networking Expert certifications of any of the main vendors (CISCO, ALE, HP, JUNIPER, etc)
  • Deep knowledge in IT Security principles and policies
  • Deep knowledge in virtualization environment (installation/configuration/maintenance)
  • Deep knowledge in Linux OS to install and configure Linux servers and services
  • Knowledge in programming languages (javascript, python, node.js, C, C++, etc.) will be a plus
  • Good MS-Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, VISIO)
  • Availability to travel frequently within the country perimeter
  • Ability to translate product features into customer and business benefits
  • Ability to demonstrate Data Networking products and features to customers
  • Ability to continuous self-training in technologies and market
  • Ability to teach Partners community and end customers
  • Open for a dynamic environment
  • Proven track record of driving network sales with a strong technical background.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with end-customers & partners.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
