This role is a great opportunity for a Marketing student in a hybrid role—at least two days a week in our offices in Thousand Oaks, remaining time can be virtual. The position is a paid internship during school semesters.

 

Job Duties

  • We are looking for outgoing, technology-orientated students interested in learning business to business marketing.

What is the training program like?

You will be trained at our Thousand Oaks HQ on all topics necessary to be successful in your role. This is a hands-on role; you will learn:

  • Executive Presentation Preparations
    • assisting the Senior VP with the creation of PowerPoint presentations
    • proofreading of executive content
  • Communications and Marketing Tactics:
    • social media: creation of social media posts for regional campaigns and events
    • webinars: administration and promotion of internal and external webinars
    • case studies: creation and publication of customer success story briefs
  • Marketing Administration:
    • budget management and the administration of purchase requisitions and invoices
    • results reporting: compilation and distribution of ongoing internal communications regarding marketing activities and customer successes
  • Event Project Management:
    • coordination of public events (tradeshows, conferences) schedules and management of surrounding marketing program elements (web, social media, emails, giveaways, etc.)
    • coordination of customer/partner visits to the Thousand Oaks facility including content, demos, and logistics like access/security, catering, etc.

What experience do I need or are you looking for?

  • Sophomore-level status at a local college or university; Marketing or Business students are preferred.
  • Self-starting, independent worker with creative problem-solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite – particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with graphic design programs and social media tools is advantageous
  • A flexible work attitude and desire to have fun doing it
  • Salary range: $18-$20 per hour, maximum of 29 hours per week.
