Marketing & Communication Department
The Marketing & Communication function at Alcatel-Lucent is the strategic engine behind the company's brand, market positioning, and commercial momentum. Operating at the intersection of business and creativity, the department drives brand visibility through major global events, AI-powered marketing initiatives, vertical go-to-market strategies, and partner communications, positioning Alcatel-Lucent as a credible European challenger in the networking, communications, and digital infrastructure space. Every activity is anchored in a culture of business impact and accountability, where marketing is measured not by outputs but by its concrete contribution to pipeline, revenue, and brand equity.
Demand Generation & Digital Operations team
Within Marketing & Communication, the Demand Generation & Digital Operations group is the digital growth engine of the company. This team owns the end-to-end digital infrastructure that powers lead generation, customer journeys, and online brand presence, from the corporate website and partner portals to the web shop, marketing automation platforms, and campaign analytics. The team blends technical expertise with marketing acumen, working hand-in-hand with brand, vertical, and channel teams to convert visibility into qualified opportunities. As we enter a new chapter of brand transition and next-generation web transformation, this group plays a central role in modernizing how Alcatel-Lucent shows up online, and how we use AI and modern web practices to do it faster, better, and at scale.
The role
As a Web Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of our corporate web properties. You will work side-by-side with marketers,
designers, and automation specialists to translate business needs into fast, accessible, and high-performing web experiences.
You will work in a modern development environment where AI assistants (Claude, GitHub, Copilot, Cursor, and similar tools) are part of the daily workflow — not as a replacement for
craft, but as an accelerator for code quality, debugging, learning, and creative problem-solving.
What you will do
• Develop, maintain, and improve pages, landing pages, and components across our
corporate website and campaign microsites.
• Translate design mockups and brand guidelines into clean, responsive, and accessible front-end code.
• Collaborate with the marketing automation and demand gen teams to ensure tight integration between web pages, forms, tracking, and CRM/automation tools.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (code assistants, AI-powered debugging, automated testing) to accelerate delivery and raise code quality.
• Contribute to the optimization of site performance, SEO technical foundations, and Core Web Vitals.
• Help maintain version control workflows (Git) and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot bugs, monitor site health, and contribute to incident resolution.
• Stay curious: bring new ideas on how AI and modern web practices can make the team faster and better.
Required skills
Technical foundations
• Solid grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Familiarity with at least one modern front-end framework (React, Vue, or similar).
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG basics), and cross-browser compatibility.
• Comfort with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Basic understanding of how websites integrate with CMS platforms, forms, analytics, and marketing automation tools.
AI-augmented ways of working
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT) to write, refactor, document, and debug code.
• Able to evaluate AI-generated output critically — knowing when to trust it, when to verify it, and when to rewrite it.
• Curiosity for prompt engineering and for integrating AI into everyday development tasks.
Mindset
• Willingness to learn and a strong sense of ownership.
• Attention to detail, especially around brand consistency and user experience.
• Clear communication in English (working language); other languages a plus.
Nice to have
• Experience with a CMS such as WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, or similar.
• Exposure to TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, or component-driven design systems.
• Familiarity with web analytics (GA4), tag management, or SEO tools.
• Awareness of AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and how they can be embedded into web experiences.
• A portfolio, GitHub profile, or personal projects demonstrating curiosity.
Profile
• 0 to 5 years of professional experience in web development.
• Background can be from a bootcamp (Le Wagon, 42, Ironhack…), a CS degree, or self-taught with a strong portfolio — we value demonstrated ability over formal credentials.
• You are excited by the idea of working in a corporate setting that is genuinely embracing AI as part of how the work gets done.
