Job Opportunity:   Cloud DevOps - Rainbow Edge

About the role

The CES organization is seeking a Cloud DevOps developer within the Edge Factory service, proficient in Ansible and Python, capable of working on scalable and highly resilient distributed cloud architectures. You will work closely with the Operations team (SRE) to leverage the same methods to automate the deployment, configuration, and management of applications. In addition to automation tasks, developers will also be responsible for testing, documentation, and industrialization of the Rainbow EDGE Pro solution.

Your Job

•        Automate the deployment of a Rainbow cloud architecture using Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash
•        Create manual and automated tests: static coverage, non-regression tests, chaos tests, etc.
•        Perform benchmarks to build deployment reference tables
•        Create documentation to help third parties deploy and operate the Rainbow platform
•     Anticipate upcoming challenges and be the architect of tomorrow's cloud architecture

Required Skills

•        Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools

•        Solid knowledge of GNU/Linux operating systems (Debian is a plus) and networking

•        Knowledge of automation, high availability, scalability, redundancy, encryption, backup, and recovery

•        Experience with testing

•        Knowledge of technical documentation writing

•        Curious, open-minded, eager to learn, correct yourself, and master just about everything

•        Experience in architecture and deployment of distributed solutions would be a plus

•        Knowledge of Git, Ansible, Python, REST APIs, and Debian packaging

•        Knowledge of JavaScript, NodeJS, and XMPP is a bonus

Nice to have

•        Ansible playbook development

•        Monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

•        Virtualization platforms (KVM, VMware, Proxmox)

•        VPN technologies (WireGuard)

•        Experience with highly regulated environments requiring data sovereignty
