Within the Network Business Division( NBD) of ALE (Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise), under the management of the Product Line Manager leader within W&P BU, the OVNG Product Line Manager will have the responsibility to drive the evolution of the the new generation of OmniVista. The goal is to work on the Market and Competition analysis on Management Platform to clearly identify our solution positioning. The goal is to create some differentiation on the market vs competition to address our key (actual and futur) customers. Being close customers would enable the PLM to properly understand their requirements (needs) and translate them in detailled fonctionnalities and UI to R&D for implementation. In addition will be required a strong investment in business plan, Certification strategy, Documentation strategy and Quality monitoring.
Based on competition strategy, research, market analysis and customer needs requirements, with the ultimate goal of developing revenues, profitability and customer satisfaction and quality adherence.
Key responsibilities to be developped:
• Understand and Follow top management strategy
• Design profitable products/solutions in line with customers’ needs and competition positioning
• Manage appropriate product/solution roadmap
• Define the “go to market” strategy, pricing strategy and respective DOA with the BLMs and Services PLMs
• Define the delivery strategy aligned with Services PLMs
• Define the needed pre and post sales materials
• Accountable for sales, tendering & delivery readiness
• Contribute to internal knowledge ramUp of ALE staff (PreSales/Sales/...) through webinar animation, SE meetings,...

Minimum 5 years experience in business development, product marketing or Wireless PreSales role
Minimum 5 years experience in networking or similar technology based industry
•Communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with different organizational roles and different personality types, for example, majority of engineers tend to be "introverted", while majority of sales/marketing folks tend to be "extroverted“, ensure positive relationships with Customer teams
•Leadership skills - excellent leadership skills using a combination of influencing, negotiating, relationship building and other similar skills, when they have no formal authority in such areas as leading product strategy and roadmaps, leading cross-functional product initiatives, etc.
•Learning skills - has the ability to learn fast even in relatively new areas, less important to hire subject matter knowledge, hunger for knowledge and speed of learning more important as market is always changing
•Business Acumen - has a good understanding of the fundamentals of business, understand how to identify market opportunities, importance of competitive differentiation, creating winning product strategy, pricing and promotion, partnerships, analyzing P&L statements, and so on
•Passion for Products - inherent passion for products, delight in kicking the tires of new products in the market - as many as they can get their hands on, signing up for a ton of "betas", check out the latest web sites, download trial versions of software just to check them out, etc
•Eye for Details - focus on details is an essential pre-requisite to creating great products, focus on details not only when it comes to product features - but also in competitive analysis, project plans, and in pretty much every major activity for which responsible
•Product Management skills - skills needed to perform the routine tasks of a product manager job.; including writing MRDs & PRDs, performing competitive analysis, creating product roadmaps, creating presentations that communicate product features & benefits, defining user interfaces, etc
•Technology skills - evaluates and drives new technologies adoption•Strategic Thinking - manages technical partnerships, including making build/buy/partner decisions, and identifying and developing partnership
